What would you think my chances as an international student are for the ivies and the tops? As of now, I'm thinking Northwestern HPME, Brown PLME, Harvard, Cornell, UCB, UCSD, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, Stanford and Duke. Might possibly add Rice to the list.

Will I stand a chance with SAT II scores of 750? If not, what should I up them to?

Also, I hate SAT IIs. They bite. -.-
And, you guys are in the Uni rush too, I'm assuming? What might your stats be, and where are you applying?

Thanks in advance! (:

Also, no GPA/Ranking system at my school. I’m an all A+ student, soon to be all A- as the school’s changing our grading system. It will be putting in a note of the change on our transcripts, although…so hopefully that’ll compensate for the fall in grades on paper. (Previously, 90% was an A+. Now, it’s going to be 98%. ■■■. :s)

Oooh…forgot. xD (Dont hate me, please…)
Doing A Level Literature as a self-study course this year. Advanced & Honors, I’d think. (:

Those scores are fine. I hear that really the difference between one getting a 740 and an 800 depends on the questions asked, and colleges know that

You should be fine. SATIIs are not that strongly looked at anyway, they aren’t really a good indicator of how a student will do in college. Good luck!

Thanks, you guys. It’s somewhat of a relief to think this…but I know many people who say/have seen on many forums that not-top-notch SAT II scores can ruin an application…is this not true? Is 750 okay for the Ivies? = /

Well if you get a 550, yeah it could ruin your chances. Don’t worry about a 750.
