My daughter just logged onto the app status check of her GMU app. On Friday she was still being reviewed, now she is an incoming freshman in the College of Science, to study Astronomy. Yay!! Her 'dream school'!!

Now for the hard part - paying for it. She is a member of her school's debate team, and finished 3rd in state in semi-finals.

My question is this, if she does not get any scholarship money, does GMU allow kids from out of state to pay instate rates when they represent the school in activities such as debate?

Several schools do, but this is info I need to know now, before we go any further. She has been accepted by 3 other schools, with 2 more still to announce. All of the schools are in GA.

Since we are in GA, and HOPE pays for tuition/fees, all we pay for is room/board, which is actually alot more expensive than the part HOPE pays for!

Thanks for any info!
