LOL!!! Too funny!

I admit I didn't watch the whole thing ( I have dial up)
but are you making fun of their lack of sophistication or what?

If you have to ask why this is funny, I can't explain it to you.

Well, fair is fair. Bad as it is, "The video, despite what rumors are spreading, was never used as a promotional video for students planning to come to Appalachian".

What on earth is the Appalachian Family Caravan? And look, I don't think it really matters why it was created. It's just so awful it's hysterical.

OK. I was wrong. It actually IS possible to explain why this is funny.

The ASU Family Caravan is basically an alumni event. So the intended audience of this (admittedly awful) video was somewhat limited. But something as poorly produced as this was destined to make it to the internet. ASU is taking the infamy in stride -- a bemused "Good God" seems to be the most common reaction. I think what bugs them more is that it is being touted as the (in the words of progressiveboink.com) "official promotional video of Appalachian State University for prospective students and parents" which it clearly is not. Ah, well, they'll just have to ride it out. But hey, I don't think they would trade places with Kramer or the Texas A&M video mavens.
