Now I have a new problem

Just an update for anyone who cares: school is getting better. I'm no longer so animate about transfering. Certain things are still the same but things in general are getting better.

Now on to my new problem:

I like a girl who has a boyfriend. Now I know this may be another common thing happening in college and I know people may say "well it's common sense....don't do anything!" but it's not that easy. I'm sure many of you have heard the phrase "you can't help who you love"; well in my case, I can't help who I like. I didn't purposely say "I think I'm going to go to college and like girls who have boyfriends!" Let me give a bit of background info though: We met earlier in the year because our school brought up 120 kids down for the "Preview Weekend" so I met her during that program (which was in April). Now that we see each other more, I can't help it. She's so cute and every time I around her I'm happy. She was actually one of my first friends at this school and we have so much in common. Now she told me she has a boyfriend back home and they've been dating for about a year. I don't want to be the one who breaks them up; I would esp. be a hypocrite bc I was giving advice to my friend today who's in the same situation as me, and I told him that he shouldn't try to break them up. But damn it! I like her so much and I can't help it. :(

What do I do? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Yeah, you need to date other girls, at least in the meantime, and then if they break up then go for it.

You keep this to yourself and see other people. When you find someone else you like you won’t think about her so much.

Yeah, you’re gonna have to move on for the time being. If they break up, she’s fair game. But if you get too close to her and they break up, she may initially blame you for that if she’s super upset so be careful…

I’ve recently learned to get over a girl who I met from my orientation. You need to find other people who will befriend you in the meantime.

yep… don’t do or say anything stupid. Try to make some sense out of this; she’s taken.

From the 40-Year Old Virgin (one of my favorite movies):
“Go for them hood-rats, before you go for the girl you actually like”

LOL, HAHAHA
