mm okay still not up, let's email admissions...what should we say? "We received the e-mail saying our decisions were online at 3 PM EST, but it is 7 PM EST and they are still not available." (?)

ehhh to hell with rational thinking. True, getting rejected from NU will not be the end of my life and getting accepted won't be the highlight of it, but the fact of the matter is is that I paid them $65 asking for a chance of admission, I took a trip out to Evanston just to see the school and they sent me an e-mail saying my decision was up, and its not and I'm mad! So maybe I'm being neurotic, but quite frankly I've played the waiting game long enough and I'M DONE WITH IT.

Rejected or accepted, I just want to know!!!!

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I feel much better now :)

can i just reply to that email address that sent out the email saying that our decisions were available or is that just like an automated robot thing...?

yes, you can reply to that address bacause it's the same one they give out to people to use for questions, etc.

uc_benz - We know you're right, and we don't hate NU for it. We're just venting.

what's the verdict, maharani?

We don't know yet.

i sent them an email, i got an automated response

Thank you for your interest in Northwestern University. We appreciate the time you took to write us.

This automated reply is to let you know that we have received your message. If you have asked any specific questions, we will respond within 48 hours. Thank you for your patience.

sigh well, i let them know.

I also sent an e-mail to a specific admissions rep not using the r-mail address that they give to everyone. We'll see what happens.

I guess that I'm not too angry yet, but I will be if they only posted acceptances and waitlists and only didn't post the rejections.

I think it's a strong indication of rejection. I THINK...
There's a small number of people who got accepted, out of the thousands that applied. Those ppl got their decisions, and an even smaller number got waitlisted. That only leaves us, the people who never got their decisions, to the rejected pile. I'm completely turned off by this whole fiasco, and even if by some miracle I do get accepted, I'll think twice about going to this school. OH well...

well I made a bet with my dad that I got rejected- so at least when they finally DO let me know I'll make some money :)

hey guys, dont worry or assume rejection yet
like someone else said before, there are a lotttt of decisions being put up at one time, and it could very well be a computer glitch.
just because it seeeeems like everyone that got a decision was accepted thats not necessarily true- a lot of people who get rejected dont feel comfortable/want to post about it.
think positive till proven otherwise

GOOD LUCK

screw this, I am going to go eat some ice cream and watch a movie.

I'm assuming rejection and getting over it now.. hehe
Then when Monday comes it'll either be as I expected it or a pleasant surprise.

...............................................i think i'm gonna cry. seriously.

what a way to get rejected. waste an entire day waiting for your letter just to get rejected, as everyone is saying we all probably did.

****.

yeah it makes sense- i have not heard of a single rejection. too bad, really.

Hey, at least when that small envelope comes to me on Monday, it won't be a big deal. I hope NU proves us wrong though.

it doesn't help that i know a girl from my school checked online and got her acceptance.

hey, i just watched a movie to pass the time and I STILL haven't heard. and it doesn't help that it was a clockwork orage, like the sickest film ever made.

i'm afraid they wont end up fixing the problem anytime this weekend. we're going to have to wait until monday.
