<p>Do you mean non-top 20 schools of New York state? Fordham certainly isn't regarded as a top 20 nationally, but maybe is top 20 within New York state.</p>

<p>Colgate, Hamilton, and Vassar are considered in the top 20 for LAC's. It's unfair to compare a LAC to a national university that offers a PHD degree.</p>

<p>Houghton College offers a great education. RPI is a great technical school. Really depends on what you are going for.</p>
