Lots of small stuff like math team and schol bowl but nothing too major.

CAN I MAKE THE CUT!?!?!

you shouldn't have much trouble getting in with your patent and research

Beramod is dominating! Yes u can make the cut

accoding to your name,06, you might have to take the new sat, and you still have 1.5 years to go, i suggest trying but good luck

haha yeah im a senior. that 06 is there for a different reason but i could see how that could be misinterpreted. BETS ARE STILL OPEN!!!! can i make it?

It's never a sure thing. I wouldn't be surprised if you were accepted, and I wouldn't be surprised if you were rejected, although your independent research is very impressive. Crazy things happen.

if you took hard courses I'd say you'd make the cut.

10:1 odds! Place your bets before December 15th!!!!

I don't thinks so. Stanford ea is gonna be tough, and you're really gonna have to stand out somehow. You seem to be the average applicant.

Siemens-Westinghouse Regional Finalist

i'd say that' a ticket

You're in. The patent+Siemens=wow.

gross. Why are you posting here? Seriously, you have a PATENT!! What do you think Mr. 1590 boy with almost perfect SAT II's? Go to community college, actually they probably won't take you. You're going to end up on the streets as a homeless drug addict. I'm sorry youre life WILL suck.

at this point, 203 people have viewed the thread, while 11 have responded. thats slightly over 5%. more responses CC folks?

I'd say that under any normal circumstances, you're in. But something tells me that the Yale Massacre of '04 may just be repeated at Stanford this year, the way people are talking. It sounds like everyone and their Boston terrier applied there EA. However, given your numbers and your research, I'd say you're probably a cut above the rest. Strange things happen, though...

Oh, and MY Boston terrier had a 1600 SAT, a 36 ACT, an 800 in Dog w/ Listening, 800 in Spanish, 770 in Writing (paws, you understand) and an 800 in Math IIC. She also took five AP classes this year, sings in the a cappella choir and has a patent on dog food.

Top that! :P

hehe I had to add a little pessimsim to this board

peepz? help?

A close friend of mine who had a 4.0 unweighted, was 2nd in the country in Speech and Debate was deferred EA, but later accepted for RD. Nothing's for certain, but you have a shot.

You don't need help. You're basically a perfect student, and you have a patent and won a huge award (siemens) to boot. 'nuff said

is siemens really worth that much? if it is this entire thread is pointless but someone once told me it was just a little competition that didnt really mean much. maybe he was wrong...
