Ok, so I know I've posted a few chances posts but now I finallyfound this forum which is the right one to post it on of course!

So, could you please chance me for Villanova, BC (dream school honestly), Northeastern, Syracuse, and Georgetown

I am a junior so I haven't taken my SATs yet but I'm shooting for a 2100, if I don't get that I do know that I will have to reconsider my list

*one note on Villanova, my grandfather graduated from there

Thanks in advance for all help you can give :)

I think you have great chances to get in Villanova, BC, Northeastern, and Syracuse. Georgetown is a reach, though. As long as you score well on the SAT (probably 2000+) you can get into all of them. Still, Georgetown may be a little harder to get into. Definitely request an interview, and make sure you write about your experiences on your farm in at least one essay!

BC and Georgetown might be reaches, but they’re definitely possible, especially if you get a 2200+ on your SATs. also, start thinking about what SAT subject tests you want to take to highlight your academic strengths. i don’t know Villanova as a school, but i think if you keep up how you’re doing now, you’re in for Northeastern and Syracuse, and you have good chances at Georgetown and BC. just make sure to play up what sets you apart from everyone else. good luck!! :)

I’m probably going to take the two history subject tests and a math one in June. I’ve had 100s in history all though high school and have always been told by teachers that I’m good with numbers and math things so I figured those would be the best two subjects to test in.

Any more opinions? Also, do colleges look more at individual grades in one subject or your overall gpa? And if they look at individual grades in one subject do they look at them by each quarter or by each year? Like I had a87 last year for one quarter in english but over a 90 for the year, would that bring me down?

I think you have great chances to get in Villanova, BC, Northeastern. I dunno much about Syracuse. Georgetown might be difficult though. Prepare well for the SAT and score around 2150-2200 and you should be in to a really good one.

^ Do you mean apply early decision? Because BC is def my dream school and actually my cousin told me I’d have better chances of getting in if I did that but BC’s website makes it sound like you have to have flawless grades and tons of ECs and be the perfect applicant to get in ED.

I think BC has a SCEA, or at least it does according to collegeboard. In the worst case, with your stats, you’ll be deffered. If you get in, you don’t have to go.
