So, I applied Early Notification to my first choice... USC-Columbia... and I got in yesterday. I was waiting to hear back from them before I was going to apply anywhere else... and I've been kind of thinking about not applying anywhere else.

I really don't want to spend a whole bunch of money/time of applications for schools that I don't want to go to. I mean... it's like a hundred dollar waste to apply to even two more schools if I'm not even planning on going to them... and that money could be going to my deposit ($200).

But then... It's like... What if I change my mind? I don't think I will. Or what if I don't get enough aid?

Agh... I'm so torn as to whether or not I should apply to additional schools. I mean... my USC deposit isn't due until May 1, so it's not like that's a looming issue.

The most practical thing to do would be to apply to at least one other school you really like, just to be safe. I mean, I thought I knew what my number one was, but after I got accepted to my other choices I wasn’t so sure anymore.

But at the same time, if I had heard from my original number one choice first, then I would have just enrolled there without looking back.

It would be a good idea to apply to at least one or two other colleges. Like you said, you might change your mind. Applications can be expensive, but college is a big deal and if another college gives you better aid, it would be worth it.

^definitely the advice I’ll be taking. haha

But yeah… I actually don’t have another school that I really want to go to. There’s a local (good) school that I have a free application at… and my mom really wants me to go there, so I might just apply.
