Now that I've decided what college I'm going to...

What kind of JEANS can I buy?

OK, so this is for all you girls (or guys with exceptional insight?) - I'm 5'0 and have a really tough time finding jeans. I usually shop at ae or A&F, because they're the only stores I know of that are reasonably fashionable and have pants that fit me (I usually go for a size 2 or 4, short, boot cut or skinny). When I try to branch out, I end up paying ~$100 for pants that don't fit/hem well.

So where do you short girls shop for jeans? I want a little more variety :P.

What kind of jeans CAN you buy? I'd venture a guess and say most any....

as a guy, my vote goes for seven, bebe, juicy, etc. (my ex was a 0 and she found her size fine) Not a real fan of a&f/ae stuff.

OK, don't get all elementary school teacher on me.

Anyway.

I have a problem with the length, not the waist. If only I could fit into a size 0. Then not only would I be starving-child-in-Africa-skinny, but they would also be short enough...

I'm not a fan of a&f/ae stuff either. Been there, done that since 6th grade.

It was a joke.

Anyways, just get to know your local tailor pretty well....even a lot of guys' jeans these days are designed so you have to tailor the length post-purchase. In the long run it doesn't add too much to the original cost of the jeans.

I'm 5'2, and the only pants that seem to fit me are from the GAP (size 0-2).
(then again, i dont understand the people who will spend $200 on a pair of jeans when the $30 pair looks exactly the same)

yeah, I'm 5'0 as well, size 0/1/2 short/ankle/bootcut-- whatever the short person size is labelled-- depending on the store. I can shop at the gap, wet seal (really cheap and I love love love these jeans!), pacsun (roxy jeans fit really well)... still on the lookout for other stores though... I subscribed to this thread b/c I'm that desperate to find a few more pairs :)

Why do people ask questions about clothes for college, or clothes in general? We only know you by your posts; we don't know exactly what will fit your shape(because no 2 bodies are exactly the same), what fits your personal style, or what fits your budget.

Personally, I buy all my jeans at AE, because they last forever and they are reasonably priced. I'm sorry, I wouldn't care if they came straight from a 5th Avenue NYC store, no pair of jeans is worth more than $40. I'm a big fan of A&F and stores like it, but paying $60 or $70 for jeans that may or may not fit in six months (freshman 15 and all) is just nuts. Keep buying what you bought in HS; college kids have better things to do than worry about the jeans you had on as you took your 1st Bio exam.

Good!

...No, I knew that :D.

Thanks for the suggestions. No-one should be so short they almost qualify for a Little People of America scholarship (it's 4'10" girls; anybody make the cutoff?). Unless you are a little person. I guess.

nope-- missed it by 2 inches. kinda bummed my shortness didn't qualify me for anything... i mean, after all, I'm not even on the growth chart.. gosh.
