now that my sat II scores are in...

I was thinking of applying to cornell originally but didnt think i had a legitimate chance. I have 1430/2170 SATS and a 91/100 for grades. I have a good bunch of EC's that I've stuck with over the years and have leadership positions in all of them (Varsity Cheer Capt 4 years, Yearbook Business Editor, President French NHS, NHS, Relay For Life coordinator, etc)

butt i just got my sat II scores and i got a 780 lit and 700 math I. Is this lit score going to make a difference or not really? I know nothing about importance of SAT IIs haha so thats why i'm asking.

Um, I think that you initially had a chance, even before the SAT IIs... Apply, you've got a chance.

gracias boijia.

You have a really good chance. I got a 580 on lit and my SAT score was an 1880 and i got in.

did you have much better grades than me though? congrats on getting in haha im jealous.

did you have some sort of hook? congrats on getting in

Of course, dude(i'm 1/4th hispanic) and i had a bunch of latin stuff.

lol being a quarter hispanic helps that much?

haha my friends like 1/8 native american and one college admissions guy flat out told him that would be the deciding factor to get him into some colleges.

also. being from the south helps since cornell gets most applicants from new england n some midwest/west.

i heard that simply 'checking it off' on where it asks for this kind of status isn't enough...like you actually have to write something about it for it to start kickin in with admissions?
