<p>^ ELC stands for eligibility in the local context, elc admission is given to students that are in the top 4% of their class…it is basically guaranteed admission to a UC. However, you don’t get to choose which UC, they offer it to you…</p>

<p>brownman777, your chances aren’t going to be impacted significantly by whether you have a 3.92 or a 4.0 GPA; with your SAT scores and ECs, etc., you should have a very good chance unless things get even more insane than they were this year.</p>

<p>If you’re planning to apply as a Business Administration or Nursing Science major, reduce “very good” to “good.”</p>

<p>@frooti786, thats ridic. i always thought EVERYONE gets into UCR. maybe it was your essays? idkkk. that doesnt make any sense…but i DOUBT that its cuz’ youre black… because i got in and i’m black…</p>
