<p>Perhaps because that student had more than 8 honors/AP/IB classes… remember, an UCGPA only takes in account the best 8 honors/AP/IB classes.</p>

<p>Yeah that is the capped GPA used for eligibility but the fully weighted GPA is apparently what higher UC’s (UCB/UCLA) look at.</p>
