Now that was fun ...

I "watched" the UCF/North Carolina State game on-line at Fox -- something that allows you to "watch" in real-time. My husband's watching the Purdue game on tv., and I'm shouting across the room ... oooooh, 2 yards to go, we're not going punt. LOL .... That was a nail-biter at the end.

Zebes, who also noticed the Texas didn't obliterate their opponents. Maybe we won't be totally humiliated. :)

I think I heard they won? D entered the lottery with her 3 suitemates for the Texas game. Play the drumroll please.

Was at UCF for a couple of hours a week ago Sunday. What a difference a week makes as there was hardly any traffic and noticeable number of kids not on campus.

We finally got all the Suntrust stuff taken care of and setup the online stuff. Her English Comp teacher figured out they needed to have another book (5 total for this class). We were visiting some friends on a mountain in NC with a very bad dial up line, but I did get to test the emergency moving more money around in Purses process, it worked pretty well.

So far the reviews on the food at the Marketplace aren't bad. D now has a circle of about 15-20 friends and they do go out often to eat. It took a bit for them to comprehend which off campus places would honor the UCF card. but they have that down Pat now.

Teachers sprang pop quizes in 3 of her 4 classes last Thursday and Friday. Classes so far are deemed to be good.

Great reviews also on the pool and wellness center. Kids seem to flock to the pool everyday, from Libra complex it's a short walk.

Being that the marketplace is so far away from the towers, S has been there once or twice with his roommates. He wasn't particularly thrilled; so he's glad he didn't sign up for a meal plan. The whole budget thing seems to be working out okay for him. It's so funny when he talks about how much a gallon of milk costs or lunchmeat ... lol. Seems to be good for him. When he was here over labor day he took all the leftover bratwurst and hamburgers, fruit salad and cake back to the dorm. Poor starving roommates and all. Yeah, 2 went home for the weekend and one has family in town. I'm sure they're starving. <g> </g>

zebes

He's very happy without the meal plan, and in fact says he hasn't eaten fastfood on campus either! I guess it's pretty convenient to head back and grab a bite to eat and head back out again. I was planning to buy a meal plan when the Convocation Center dining facility opens, but now maybe I won't. A couple of his roommates do have meal plans and go over to the dining hall to eat, but Andrew thinks its too far to bother.
