So, let's think about this. Decisions are coming out as soon as the snow is fading away (QUITE quickly...well...depending on your state of residency lol.) What would you do if...(got this from the harvard forum)

you were

Accepted

Waitlisted

Rejected

for me...

A = Scream and probably rip a vocal cord
W = Cry
R = Stare blankely at the letter and after regaining consciousness have a huge gorilla fight with the wall.

Ummm...I haven't really though about that. I just really want to get accepted. I don't think anything but positive thoughts until I get the letter.
Theres two options I planned out before I look.
1)When I open my mailbox, and if it is there I will put it on my kitchen counter and just leave it there and not open it. I will probaly just stare at it wondering what my fate is and then when I have enough courage I will open it.
2) When I open my mailbox, I open it right away. And have a heart attack by my anxiety about college decisions.

Does that still hold true for James Madison University? UVa sends all small envelopes to their applicants so it doesn't fool anyone until they open their letter. I don't know if JMU does that though.

Really, at the end of the month? My teacher said that her friend works there and some of them were sent out already. If the admissions said that then they are more believable than my teacher. Oh well, have to wait for one more college at the end of the month.

blue, Maybe your teacher's friend did not distinguish between RD and EA?

My son's acceptance to JMU was one of the last to come in (there were 2 that came in late March). After those acceptances and all financial offers, that is when it really got nerve racking for a few hours. S picked JMU after a couple of hours of family discussion! He doesn't have any regrets!

They are still making early action, decisions? No I was positive she meant regular decision. I just want to see where I get accepted. And the 24th would be pretty nice since it's the saturday coming up but I will not be totally shocked if we get them March 30th.

blue~ last i knew, UVA did emails first, then BIG packets.does JMU do emails first? i'd imagine they do, as a large state school. there should be a date and time for release of emails(as UVA does).

blue, no they are not still doing EA. I thought that your teacher's friend was perhaps referring to the EA decisions that may have gone out a few months ago.

Last year JMU did not have emails. Notification came by snail mail. Unless it has changed, that is how it is done.

Well, UVA sends e-mail first, then they send all small letters to everyone so practially everyone gets their letters at the same time because big packets take longer in the mail. Then the big packets come. I was just wondering if JMU does that so I guess I'll just have to wait for the mail.
