Those who have gotten accepted and know where they are going, now what are you doing? It seems a little strange and empty not to be worrying about applications and getting in. Obviously we still have to keep our grades up and apply for some outside scholarships but still. I'm so excited about getting in to my dream school all I want to do is start DIYs for my dorm room (I'm a bit Pinterest addicted) but I know it's a little early for that. How do you guys feel now?

I got into all of my safeties - but I haven’t heard back from my matches and reaches - so I’m in an awkward position. I know that I am guaranteed college - I received a full scholarship to our state university, but at the same, I have my fingers crossed for some higher tier options that are relatively affordable.

I’ve been looking at MacBook Pros and accessories… lol. :)

I’ve been looking at Macbooks too haha! I’ve been saving up for a while for one.

Congrats on the full scholarship, that’s great!

Haha, thank you.

I’ve never had a Macbook pro - I bought a really old Macbook (like 2006ish) from Craigslist last year, and it shuts off every 30 minutes and it weighs roughly 5,000 pounds, so I’m excited for a fancy laptop to use in college. I want to buy the best, most rugged case on the market so that it can stay shiny forever, lol. That’s the thing I like most about Apple products, honestly, how sleek and shiny they are. xP

I love Macs. The only thing that irks me is that I’m gonna have to pay $150 more for Office. Wah… Oh did you know that you can get a student discount at Apple just for being accepted to college? You don’t even have to have a student ID!

I’m so anxious for this year to be over now, there’s so much to look forward to for next year. I feel kind of guilty wanting to rush my last year long but I’m with you, I want to start shopping for dorms and get everything started!

Is it sad that I’m looking forward to the accepted students day and getting to visit my school again more than I am for senior trip?

@SamiLaine - You can get Apple discounts with your High School ID as well, I believe. My Dad and I are going to New Hampshire (we live in Massachusetts) to go buy the Macbook since there’s no sales tax in NH which can come in handy when buying something that costs 1000+ dollars.

That’s such a great idea maybe we’ll venture down to Delaware (from NJ)

I took college classes full-time this year, so I don’t feel as restless as a lot of people probably do. I feel like I left high school back in June. I’m sort of kind of almost certain of where I’m going, and I’m finally doing all the research on classes/programs I was afraid to do back when they hadn’t accepted me.

I feel like I’ve been over the college admissions process for a long time, though. When I first started coming on here I thought I’d apply to like twenty reach schools in a desperate attempt to get in somewhere prestigious, but at some point I just stopped caring. I only applied to one insane reach school, and I didn’t feel bad when they rejected me because I didn’t know why I applied in the first place.
