So I got into the business school and all, but now what? like orientation and signing up for classes? What do I do? lol

Registration for Student Orientation is supposed to begin February 1st online. You should be able to access it through your Admission Information System (AIS) page where you checked your application status. If you go to A&M’s admission website and search on New Student Orientation, you should be able to navigate your way to the page with dates for Summer/Fall 2009 orientation. It is very important that you sign-up for your orientation by May 1st as your acceptance of admission is not complete until you do! You will register for your classes at the orientation.

You’ll have summer orientation, which you will have to sign up for. I recommend signing up for an early date as classes will get taken/filled up as the Summer progresses and more students make their way to CS for orientation. You should start looking at where you are going to live now, and then fill out your housing application if that place is on campus. Also look into signing up for Fish Camp and/or Impact Camp. If you need financial assistance, you should also start filling out a FAFSA . . . something that I’ll be doing soon as well (as they are only good for one school year). All of these are online.

Does anyone know what out of staters do about the orientation?

where do u sign up for orientation? and wat is Fish Camp and Impact Camp?

Here is a link to the New Student Conference brochure for 2009 in PDF format.

They attend as well.

They are camps that incoming freshman attend to make friends, learn traditions, and have fun. You spend a few nights out at a Summer Camp with other incoming freshman, while your Camp Counselors there are A&M students. Impact is Christian oriented, while Fish Camp has no religious orientation… it’s for everyone.

so I got into A&M and everything but haven’t accepted YET, so I can’t sign up for the orientation. when is a good time 2 accept and register by before the first day or w/e is taken up?

When is a good time to accept? Umm… asap. Orientation spots get taken up pretty quick, especially with the statistics I hear about this upcoming freshman class. All in all, you would be fine waiting a month or maybe even two. I wouldn’t wait much longer than that. (And by then you should hear back from TU, which I assume is why you’re waiting.)

I am still waiting back from UT also, but I went ahead and registered anyways since I am waiting for the biz honors… if I DO get into UT, then I’ll figure something else out…
