So I am a freshman here at ND now and I am finishing up my first week here as a student, and I just wanted to tell everyone on CC that yes, it is absolutely amazing here. I walk to class every morning and the Dome gives me chills. I pinch myself every night at the Grotto to check if this is real. I knew this statement before, but it is even more true if you get to be a chance to be a student here. Nowhere else in higher education in America do you combine top academics, athletics, social life, and the large faith that beats at the center of this campus. I am not Catholic by any means, and everything that they have said here resonates with me as well, so if the Catholicism of this school scares you, don't let it.

To all those who think this dream may not be a reality for you, don't lose hope! I was in your spot just a year ago and my dream became a reality for me. You must do your part though and do your absolute very best on your application, and God will do the best. If you are truly meant to attend Notre Dame, it will happen. I even had a hard decision in April figuring out if ND was truly the school for me again, but on my final visit I just knew. So I definitely encourage any doubters to come to campus for a visit. No words or pictures can replicate the feeling you get when you step on to this campus for the first time. If any of you prospects need a question answered or anything, shoot me or any of the other people who post here. We would be glad to answer them and maybe next year we can invite you into the ND family as well :).
