Some really cool information and demonstrations! As many of you know, I am doing grad research on belting, mixing, and legit singing, and this all applies to incorrectly produced belting versus correctly produced belting and mixing!

I listened to the audio interview and it sounds like her technique is very much like the Seth Riggs' method.

I found it interesting when she talked about how she healed her nodule through speech therapy which is exactly what I did in the late 70's. I can't tell you how wonderful speech therapy was for me. Once I learned how to speak in the correct vocal range everything else fell into place.

Strapless Bra/By the Way Technique? I love this woman! LOL I wonder which British acting school she went to where they had her doing those awful things with her placement. Tisk, tisk

Her "British Acting School voice" sounds so much like one of the girls on my course!

Thanks so much for the link CoachC. I haven't been on here much recently, but came on today specifically because I had an open dress last night for a (university) show, and my voice is a bit shot. I'm playing Agaue in the Bacchae and have to scream my head off several times a night outdoors (site-specific promenade performances...yay...)

I looked up some of your earlier posts and from what I can gather - steam for vocal folds and some kind of glycerin for the pain in my throat. And of course as much vocal rest as possible. Is that all correct and is there anything else you could suggest?
