NROTC Application Status Question

My son completed his NROTC application, submiitted all his paperwork, and had his interview. He is applying for the Navy option. The status of his application is now:

Your application is at CNRC for additional processing.

Items waiting to be processed:
English Teacher Eval
Transcripts
Strong Campbell
Debarment and Drug Statement
Statement of Understanding

What does this mean? Thanks! Just trying to understand the process.

Son had exactly the same thing happen to him, give it a few days and then recheck the site, CNRC is apparently catching up on applications... also I would let your recruiter know, just in case he missed anything in the package he sent in.

Out of curiosity, are you going through the New England NROTC office?

good luck.

Thanks for the info. No, we are going through the Great Lakes office. Everything seems to take a long time. Son (and the high school) had everything in and his officer interview at the local NROTC unit was done about three weeks ago. Then things just sort of sat for awhile. The interesting thing is the comment about the English Teacher Evaluation. He didn't need an English Teacher Evaluation...

We'll see what happens in a couple days. We're trying not to think about it too much. Son did not want to pursue a technical major and the Language/Culture Schools were a reach for him, so he submitted as a tier 3 major (Global/International Studies). Chances are pretty slim, but you gotta try if you feel that passion.

I am currently filling out the Application myself (although under the Marine Option) and on the references page of the application it asks for your School Counselor, and English Teacher for English proficiency evaluation, and another teacher/counselor/boss/coach as a character reference. So the English Teacher Evaluation could just mean they are still processing the English Teacher as one of his references.

ummm…look at the dates, this thread is almost 2 years old. somehow i think their questions have been answered
