NROTC in College

Considering doing NROTC next year in college. can anyone doing it or have done it, tell me how it affects your academic and social life?
Also, is it worth joining if you know that you'll probably just join after college as an officer?

around here, they PT 1-3 days/week in the mornings at 6. There are probably also some core classes in military science. As far as I understand, it’s one giant frat house, except you get to wear matching uniforms and feel badass. But at the end of the day, I wouldn’t commit to the military unless I’m absolutely sure it’s the best thing for me. Obviously, my impression on the people doing ROTC is not very great

I know several folks who do AFROTC. They love it. Your academic life should be fine, in fact it better be… if NROTC is anything like AF then you need to get good grades to be offered a contract after two years. As for social life, they become one big family and a good chunk of their friends are in the ROTC. If I could go back in time I’d definitely do it.
