NROTC Marine Option Scholarship Chances

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I've been actively researching the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship and was wondering what my chances were of possibly receiving it. Any information at all that is available is appreciated! I'm currently in the second semester of my junior year of high school. </p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 unweighted</p>

<p>SAT: 1950 (M+R=1380)</p>

<p>Classes: AP Calculus, AP Economics, AP English, AP Government, AP Psychology</p>

<p>Athletics:
-3 years of Varsity Soccer and Track (Lettered every year)
-8 years of competitive club soccer, 2012 Oregon Premier League State Champion.
-1st Team All League for Soccer
-Scholar Athlete Award
-PFT Score: 291, 19:30 3 mile, 20 pull ups, 100 crunches.</p>

<p>Extra:
-Member of National Honor Society: volunteered for local food bank, student tutoring, and various other community service projects. (community arts fair, graduation, animal shelter/humane society projects)
-Have hosted 7 international children through Healing the Children for local medical care. (from Nicaragua, El Salvador, Haiti, Pakistan, and Guatemala)
-Attending USMC Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy</p>

<p>Jobs:
-15 hours a week at a local establishment.
-Manual labor for a landscaping company during summer.</p>

<p>Intended Major: Civil Engineering</p>

<p>Family Military History: Grandfather: Corporal in the USMC (ret.) Father: Captain in the USMC (ret.) Uncle: Colonel in the USMC (active) Two Aunts: Navy</p>
