NROTC Question

<p>Yes. I earned a NROTC scholarship for college. After college, I served in the Navy for four years. I am a civilian now.</p>

<p>Earned an Army ROTC scholarship too, but turned it down because I liked the Navy better. I also applied to the Naval Academy, but was rejected.</p>

<p>Great! Husband also is in Navy now after he got his Ph.D in EE and then started working at MDA. We did not know much about military at that time when we were in school. So he just start with Navy 4 years ago with a age-waiver.
Hopefully, S is not learning the hard lesson like we do.</p>

Just let you know that Son got full NROTC scholarship at NCSU on Nov 14th tier 1 major
Sis still working on naval personal statement now.

<p>kctran…congrats to your S on receiving the NROTC scholarship to NCSU. My Son had a NROTC scholarship at NCSU. He graduated/commissioned in May 2009. He is still active duty. He loved his 4 years at NCSU. Good luck to your son. Go Wolfpack!</p>

He just had medical exam yesterday and is going to have an eye exam today.
Hope that all goes well.
I still have 3 more sons go after this son.
