Does anyone know if its possible to change schools with an NROTC Scholarship after a year in the program?

It is, you just apply for a scholarship transfer through NSTC.

Has anyone done this in the past, or does anyone know how many of these are done each year?

I'd contact NSTC, if you can get their phone number (I know on the NROTC scholarship status page it just has a fax #), although your best bet is to start at the college you really want first. I don't know if you're in college right now or not.

the NROTC scholarship status page does have a number. i've used it to call them.

Im in college right now, about to finish my first year in NROTC and thinking about transfering next year

does anyone know if it's possible to transfer mid-year...like after fall semester? i know i could transfer after my freshman year, but I was wondering if it was possible to transfer earlier than that...I got a letter from the nrotc unit at Cornell (which I was accepted to the unit but not the actual school) and the letter said it was always possible to transfer. does this mean for my first year, I would have to go somewhere with a unit- even if I'm going to transfer? or could i go somewhere like Emory(which has no unit) and then transfer?
