NSHSS

So I just got some letter in the mail from the national society of high school scholars and after doing research on it I found out that it’s basically pointless. However, I was wondering if it’s better to have it on my application and be in it than to not be in it at all. Also, would it look good if I managed to become an ambassador for the program or would colleges still overlook it because it’s the NSHSS?

As you note in your opening sentence, “it’s basically pointless”. Don’t waste your time.

Don’t put it on your application. It doesn’t hurt you but it won’t help you either. Colleges know exactly what those programs are and will look through it like a window.

“As you note in your opening sentence, “it’s basically pointless”. Don’t waste your time.”

Or money.

Bump

If something is a scam, it doesnt help

Lots and lots and lots of kids just got letters.

Their guidance counselors did NOT submit their names or grades. Neither did the school administration. Neither did any of their teachers.

It’s not based on grades, or on activity involvement, or on community service. It’s NOT affiliated with the National Honor Society.

It seems to be based on whether or not they can find your name and address.

Ignore!!! And do NOT send them $60.
