I got an "exclusive invitation" in the mail for it. Apparently, it's selective and your school nominates you. You basically pay money to go to a university for 10 days. They have a bunch of different programs like engineering, forensic science, etc. From what I've read, it's not really to great nor does it help the college app.. Is this program worth it?

Also, can anyone post some prestigious programs that are free or don't cost a lot of money?

Use the Search function as this has been discussed many times. Some people find the program worthwhile for the price, others don't.

Read the sticky thread at the top of this forum, do a Search, or read some of the recent long threads (eg. TASP, RSI, MITES, Cornell, SAMs, etc.). The free programs are always the most discussed, and the most competitive to get into.

going july 20 to 29 in washington dc for medical… anyone else?
It looks like a great introduction to medicine…
I am not looking for extra credits…

My son did national security and intelligence last year. He got to go to places like the NSA, CIA, Pentagon, places the general public does not get into. For med, I’d recommend NYLF-Med. Son did that in Chicago. It’s offered other places. Got a lot out of it. Sure, it’s pricey, but I’m considering sending him again if he can’t get a job this summer. Better than playing video games all summer, although he won’t think so.
