wait, the link isnt working for me for some reason
is there another way to get there?

The email kind of confused me a lot too… Hopefully I hear back tomorrow or I might email them. :)

I got an email yesterday and I’m going to Morocco this summer! I’m so excited!!

I just got the email… I GOT IN! I am doing China year in Nanjing or Changzhou. I was literally screaming and shaking for about ten mintues. :D

I’m going for a year in China with American Councils in Beijing Anyone else?

WOW! Congratulations!!! My kids and I are super frustrated - still no word one way or another. Not sure what to do.

So my son was rejected for Summer Arabic. The email says 1:17pm but he didn’t get it for 4 hours after that. What’s up with that? My daughter is still waiting for Summer Korea. Not looking good. Bummer.

I have been reading a lot of posts and so far i am the only one who got accepted China year with AFS. Anyone else?

I may have been rejected by SSP, but…

Spring semester in China!

@chuguet

sorry, idk why the link didn’t work…oh well. anyways here is a link to their website and just click on the chat with an AFS advisor blue underline. Let me know how it goes!:)

So it says that you have to copy and send your passport in an email, but I don’t have a passport and it takes a while to get here. What should I do?

im a year in nanjing too!!

yay! You should join the facebook group: [Login | Facebook](<a href=“NSLI-Y China 2011-2012 Nanjing/Changzhou Public Group | Facebook”>NSLI-Y China 2011-2012 Nanjing/Changzhou Public Group | Facebook)

I have a friend who is going to china!!!

I got rejected. I’m really sad and disappointed.
But congrats to everyone else.

neoncookiegirl17- I would attach a letter letting NSLIY know that you don’t have your passport yet, but definatley send your paperwork ASAP otherwise you will forfit your spot I’m pretty sure! Just read over it again and give it a shot it never hurts good luck!!

I got Morocco year with Legacy:) I’m so thrilled. For those of you that didn’t make it please don’t give up. If this is any indication this is my third year applying and only this year did I make it!! I can honestly say that I am thankful I didn’t get in until this year because I feel so much more confident that this is what I want to do! :)

wow! thanks. This is your third year applying?? I guess i am pretty lucky then because this is my first year, I got in and I applied for a Chinese program and those are harder to get into than the others. :)

@ailaena- i got spring semester in beijing too! are you with american councils to beijing no. 80 high school?

@arch106- i’m not sure if you’re one of the two people i already know are going to beijing with american councils (if so, this is jazzlyn)… if i don’t already know you and you’re going to beijing no. 80 too, we have a group on facebook that i’ll give both you and ailaena a link to. so far there’s 4 of us that we know are going to be there, 2 year and 2 spring semester.

Both my kids were rejected for summer programs. It looks like if you don’t get in early, you don’t get in at all.

I think that entirely depends on which program you applied to. I applied to year, got notified a lot later than others but got in.
