If I had to guess, I would say that there will most likely not be a Turkish summer program as the climate in the country has not significantly improved over the past year. Also, the YES Abroad scholarship is not sending anyone to Turkey this year so I doubt that NSLI-Y would because they are both administered by the State Department (who determines the safety of the country). The applicants selected as finalists for Turkey summer would then be sent to their second choice country and get their notification when they are released for their second choice country.

Hello! I just now found this forum. I applied for Korean summer. Does anyone else feel like the suspense gets worse with each waiting day? I hope everyone does well!! 
Hello everyone, second-time applicant here. I made an account just to comment. @WeightInGold Yes! I applied for Korea summer as my first choice, with China as my second. I know there’s only about a week or two left, but that makes it even more stressful. The suspense is TERRIBLE.
