Anything yet for Arabic Summer?
Nothing here, hoping arabic summer gets released tomorrow!
Hey guys! Ive been in this forum for a while, and im suspecting arabic this Wednesday, china this Friday, and Korean next Friday : ) good luck to all!
I still haven’t been notified about my status for the hindi summer program, does this been i’ve been rejected?
@akacey, I would say that the odds of getting an alternate letter at this point are slim, but nothing is impossible. Generally, though, admission is only rolling in the sense that they roll out one program at a time. All letters and alternative letters for that country/program go out on the same day, however. I’d never say never, but I wouldn’t have high expectations, either.
any word for anyone on chinese yet? i know it’s typically come out later, but i’m a little anxious haha!
@k8gr8f8 I applied for china as my second choice, but I’ve been checking forums and facebook practically every hour and I haven’t found anyone who’s heard back yet. I think the earliest day that China notifications can come out is Friday, but since Arabic was pushed back I’m banking on next week.
Another thing. I assume NSLI-Y have been getting a lot of calls/emails since they posted on Facebook asking us to be patient. But in the post, they talked about there being roughly 1,400 semi-finalists. Is it just me, or is that number higher than it normally is? I thought there were typically 1,200 semi-finalists.
I heard at the interview for my daughter that it was about 1,400 semi-finalists.

@k8gr8f8 By the way, China notifications are coming out. I’ve heard about Chengdu acceptances so far.
@lalaji53 wait fr? Have Arabic acceptances come out? I’ve never heard of Chinese coming out before Arabic.
Yeah, check the facebook page. I haven’t heard anything about Arabic though. But you’re right, this is crazy. I’m so confused now.

@jm0916 I don’t think they’ve been sent out yet. I haven’t received anything and there’s no mention of it on here/the Facebook group. Really confused as well
China acceptance letters came out already?
It seems that some have come out. Not sure what is going on.
I was almost sure Arabic notifications would come out today. I don’t believe they’ve ever released Chinese before Arabic. I hope they come before it’s too late to make alternate plans.
This is my first year applying and I’m so anxious for the results. Do acceptance letter come out on the same day? bc i thought China might be coming out this Friday…
It would be helpful if anyone who has received China notifications posts to let us know
