Oh I got Amideast @NikkuWadde
@madeline121 @NikkuWadde Congrats Guys!~
Just learned as well that I will be going to Amman, Jordan!!! Congrats to others who heard! Anyone else going to Amman?!?
@EmmaPotts I put Korean as first and any as second
Has anyone been admitted to their second choice so far?
My son got Arabic - Amman!
@bboyinmartin Oh I had thought you might have put down ‘any’ as your first choice. I don’t think it’s common for people to do that but they probably get notified when the country they get accepted to - gets notified.
Hi, I’m waiting on a Turkish notification at the moment. In light of the recent attacks, does anyone have any idea if/when we’ll be notified if we are placed in another country? I still want to go to Turkey, but I also want to be prepared for any outcome! Thanks!
@agjade I’m not a Turkish applicant but I am also interested to see what they will do.
Luckily there are parts of many countries that speak Turkish. I know there was one year when Arabic applicants came home early from Egypt because of the many riots around the city they were placed so they might just send students to Turkey but bring you guys back home if anything happens.
I had yearlong Arabic as my first choice and summer Arabic as my second. I see a lot of Summer Arabic notifications above–did those all go out at the same time, then?
Has anyone received year-long program notifications?
I haven’t received anything yet
@rjmoney9 Don’t stress! All year long applicants find out in early April. So don’t worry about not receiving any notifications!!
Thanks for letting me know that!
@rjmoney9 They normally finish going brought all of the summer program acceptances and then send a wave of summer rejections before they even start year acceptances, so it will probably be at least three more weeks.
which summer programs have been released so far?
@table16 Hindi, Russian, Persian and Arabic so far.
@itstricky thanks!!! which one do you think will be released next?
@table16 i think China summer should be released around the 25th!
