Nso

For you ED kids who were wondering about New Student Orientation and all that, heres the site for last year’s NSO.

some things i just learned only about dining:
cafe spice express is an indian bistro - in TWO locations (cant miss home now).
the 1920 commons has madd vegetarian/kosher/halal food
(penn was even voted into the top 10 most veg-friendly campus)
Insomnia cookies sells milk too, up to 230 am or later (!!WOO)
King’s Court has food up to six AM!!!

i cant stand the excitement. lol - enjoy obsessing!!

http://www.upenn.edu/nso/2006/welcome/index.html

lol you eat alot dont you paro

thanks!~ It's so nice to know what to expect ahead of time

I wanna go but my parents won't pay. :( It will cost atleast a $1000 so I better start working. No europe during the summer, then.

I am happy that they have halal food and good vegie food. I am practically a vegetarian!!!!

Meeting at penn, then?

why won't your parents pay? Orientation one week, classes the next. You have to move in some time I would guess.... (unless I am not seeing all the costs of this orientation week...)

holy shat Kings Cour has food until 6AM? ha never knew that

Orientation is a hundred some bucks nothing terrible. Basically you move in and NSO starts that day. EVERYONE moves in the same day

indeed, nso is mandatory; every school has important events that occur during that time, so it's not like missing nso is an option.

Insomnia Cookies is amazinggg. I wrote about it in my "why Penn" essay. Haha..I love food!

lol blaakfire - im about as big a fathead as they come. total foodie :D why do u think i clicked on the dining tab first!?!?!?

u gotta admit, foods kinda imp to the world. lol
kings court - i know!!!! how AWESOME

paro, you will gain the freshmen 15 in 2 weeks, then spend a semester trying to work it off.

where did you see that kc/eh has food until 6 am? it certainly doesn't right now...

hater.
ill gain 3 tons and come sit on you, venkater.
psshh. like ive ever been inside a gym. lmao

Ugh, don't get too excited by the food. By the end of the semester you realize that no matter which of the four meal plans you pick you have too much food, and become disgusted at the mere mention of 1920 Commons.

Cafe Spice is okay, but for some reason their indian food is sour and is just reheated on location not actually cooked.

ah jk - its open like that on reading days and finals

Stupid me...I was thinking about the freshmen preview during april. LOL. Yeah parents will pay for NSO.
