NU College Prep Summer Program

I was wondering if anybody here knows any insight on the College Prep Program. I am interested in applying and would love to hear about personal experiences if anyone has attended. I know this is different from the CTD program in that there's a lot more freedom and you take actual college courses with college students. Thanks in advance.

Its great fun.

did you attend?

does it help in admissions.....?

it was really fun. you take courses with other nu summer students so it is really challenging. the rules may be a little strict, like early curfew on weekends too, but it is evanston's official rule... the town is super nice, and so is the campus.

we asked and they told us that it helps to know that you were there and spent time there--shows that you're interested. but it's like attending all other summer schools in other schools...its not guarenteed. also, there are couple hundred other kids in other programs at northwestern as well, so it wouldnt help you that much, but it is really great to meet profressors, see the campus, and basically get a taste of what it's like at northwestern. :)

Thanks so much for responding barbie91. That's great that you had a good experience. I'm curious how many kids are in the program? And do you take classes w/other college students? Or just students in the program? And what dorms do you live in?

I'm applying to this too! it looks fun & good for getting into NU.

If you're applying, do you know if we're supposed to provide descpriptions of our extracurricular activities? or just list them with dates?
sorry to ask a question on your thread but I didn't want to make a whole new thread for it, especially since not that many people seem to know about CPP.

I’m definitely going to this now! What class are you taking?
I think I’m taking General Chemistry but I may switch to something else.
