NU didn't receive some of my materials--transcript and recommendations. I just got my application ID code today, so should I wait a few days before calling them or asking my teachers/guidance counselor about that?

are you sure they didn't receive them yet, or have they just not typed it in yet? And how did you find out? I know with UVA- they say to wait until February before doing anything because they are entering the 1000s of transcripts they have received and even though they haven't "received" it, it may still be sitting in the pile in the admissions office.

Well, when I applied ED they never fully filled out the chart thing (it always said I had 0 recs) but I called and they had them. So yeah, call.

Yeah, what Mariokindy just described is what is happening to me: Everything besides my transcript and recommendations have been "received". I can tell because next to "transcript" it's blank and next to "recommendations" is the number zero. Perhaps they received it and just have not 'registered' it or attached it onto my file or something. There's a disclaimer that says to wait at least 2 days, because it takes them that long to update new material or something, so I'll probably wait until later this week and call to see what's up if nothing's happening. Thanks!
