NU.in Spring

Just received an email about the opportunity to participate in NU.in Spring. Would be for Spring 2017 semester and in Thessaloniki, Greece or London, England. Thoughts? Not an opportunity I thought I would have. Did everyone get this email?

It is only available for some majors, but any eligible student can do it!

It’s the first semester it’s offered, but it has the extensive resources of the NU.in program. It would be for Spring 2017. I’d say it’s your call - do keep in mind though that it means that you’ll leave your first semester friends - you’ll probably make some great ones abroad, but it’s something to consider.

My D received this email. Not sure why

Is this Spring version of NUin strictly an opt-in program? Can you decline this “opportunity” and still attend NU as a regular on-campus student as a freshman for the 2016-2017 year?

Yes, it is completely opt-in and optional.

If you were accepted NU.in for fall, can you transfer to NU.in spring and be on campus in the fall?

@chemmchimney Unfortunately, you can’t.

If I have a really good financial aid package for NEU that only asks that I pay around $2,000, would I still have to pay the deposit? I’m asking because I was told that NU.in Spring applies the financial aid that you receive for Northeastern in general to the program’s cost of ~$24,000.

All students are required to pay the deposit when they accept the admission offer.

Are you referring to the $600 enrollment deposit fee or the $2,500 deposit fee for NU.in Spring? Because I was referring to the one for NU.in Spring
