I live in NYC and I got into NU and Georgetown. My parents would really like me to go to G-town because its on the east coast, thus making it more accessible. However, NU gave me a better fin. aid package and NU is ranked higher than G-town. Is there anyone from NYC that is going to NU or is at NU that can give me some input on my quagmire?

I'm going to GTown SFS over Northwestern. And I am from a Northwestern family, lol. If that is any help. My sister made the same decision that I have made, as well. Tho she later went to NU for Law.

What do you want to study? Your choice may depend on that.

I'm choosing between these, too! and maybe UVa...I'm into business, so...i'm basically going to visit all and pick the best fit :-)

Jayson, I think your parents may have a little east coast home bias working...I predict you would find Evanston and Chicago to be very exciting places and that it does not lose much in access to the tri state area in relation to DC. When the midwest is just "flyover country" it can look like a big undifferentiated mass, but for holiday trips and stuff it's not a huge extra hassle over DC.

i'm from nyc and choosing between g'town and nu also! crazy how these things work out...

I just spent a week in Chicago visiting my sister. I did an overnight at NU last night...it's wonderful, but I'm going to go with Georgetown.

Eugh...says its cool then rejects it :)

well it is an AWESOME school, it's still a really hard choice...but i just had to see what felt right and (yeah, i'm a dork) make a pro/con list--and Gtown seems to be the right choice for me. but i'm sure i'd have a great time at either
