Nu Prof of Economics Shares in Nobel Prize for Economics

<p>Great. And NU deserved most of the credits 3 years ago when Roger Myerson won the Nobel, even though he was with UChicago at that time. He was with NU for 25 years and was awarded largely for his work at NU.</p>

<p>I’m certain the campus is well pleased, both when considering the “cross city competition” with UChicago and also because Pres. Schapiro’s area of academic research is economics. Purple pride for sure.</p>

<p>The typo in the article confused me. The second paragraph attributes the quotation to “Mortensen, a University of Chicago professor who shared the 2007 prize for research he’d done at Northwestern years earlier.” They actually meant Myerson, not Mortensen.</p>
