I’ve applied (but haven’t submitted the supplement), and I haven’t gotten that email.

It’s gotta be real. I don’t think they’ll care about the date. They want the best class possible so the date should be irrelevant.

I think I’m going to send in my Common App and then wait until the last possible second tonight for confirmation from NU before submitting my supplement.

lol samedifference, if you don’t submit your supplement soon Commonapp is rumored to be extremely laggy around those last couple hours anyway.

I’ve decided to submit sometime mid-week. Anyone want to take a risk with me?

I am~ Liz!

Guys, I think it’s pretty clear. Only the Common App and the application fee are due tonight. The rest, including the Supplement, are due in two weeks. If I were you, I’d revise my essays and submit them then rather then turn in mediocre essays now.

^^ second that

Have you guys decided what you’re doing for the supplement?

I’m definitely not submitting it tonight because I think it needs a little more work. I’ll submit by the end of this week, though, and if they say anything, I’ll just send them a copy of the email I received. I know the email definitely came from them because the email address it was sent from is the same one that they have on the website. So, unless some awful person hacked into their email address and sent it out, I highly doubt that we’ll get in trouble if we send it in by the 16th.

I’m too nervous not to submit it tonight. :/

:( I know this is a bit irrelevant, but I submitted the common app, payment, and supplement to Northwestern at 9:06 PM pacific time…which turned out to be 12:06 AM EST time. (Haha i thought the time difference was 2 hours. I’m ■■■■■■■■ yep.)

So will they disregard my application now? I’m really anxious and I feel sick about this whole thing. 7 minutes ruined my life…

^No, your application won’t be disregarded. You can relax, now. :)

MistiRose, you’re well within the deadline. NU uses CT, which means your app will clock in as 11:06pm instead.

I decided to just finish my Northwestern essay and turn it in today just in case. I had the CommonApp and payment in a while ago, but submitted the supplement at 9:59 PST. Last minute, literally.

Yea, but I just realized that Common App times stamps your application by DAY, not by hour and minutes… :\ So essentially, Northwestern would only know and see that it was turned in on 1/02/2010, and not know the exact time.

you ARE ■■■■■■■■. Northwestern isn’t on EST.

MistiRose, I wouldn’t sweat it honestly. When they’re reading so many apps one after the other, I doubt they would even pay attention to the time stamp.

I sent in my app online and as you all now you have to invite teachers to write recs. But was going to have them sent by mail. Can I still do it instead of having my teachers write it in online too?
