I got off the waitlist from NYU Stern. Now i have another tough decision. Northwestern or Stern?

Both are great schools and I would be happy going to either. I want to major in something like finance or economics and work in the business field. Btw, I live in NJ and I am pretty knowledgeable about NYC. I have never been to Chicago.

Go to NU so i can get off the NYU STERN waitlist ! :P :P :P

It really depends on what kind of college life you want. Northwestern has a more traditional campus style life while NYU has a city life feel to it. Theyre both top notch academically so choose where u think ull enjoy the most.

As for me I want Stern so do me a favour and go to NU lololololol

if you would be happy at either and if your only wants are majoring in something like finance or economics and working in the business field, then go to the cheaper school. If you work hard, you should excel at either, so you might as well save a little money and buy yourself something nice. remember, when figuring out the costs to factor in travel and/or shipping expenses to NU. I bet NYU is still more expensive, so if I'm right, have a great time at NU! You'll make someone (heh) very happy.

Northwestern has an excellent econ program, but it's more theoretical. So if you're looking for something more business oriented, go to Stern. Also, consider job placement and internship opportunities - NU is targeted more by the midwest while Stern is obviously NYC based.

Putting academics to the side, you should visit Chicago before you make a sure decision. You don't want to choose NU and then when you're there you discover you hate Chicago for some reason.
