Obviously, I don't mean "better GPA/better test scores" but the things you had more control of in terms of what you said/didn't say.

I don't feel like I did, but some people thought my essay minimized the effect of Hurricane Katrina... I wrote about what happened to me and how lucky I was and how my area immediately bounced back.

Elsewhere, I stated how I helped out, but just on my essay alone, it kinda seems like I didn't care.

I put in more effort in my USC app than all my other 9 schools of which I applied to, haha. I crafted the perfect essays, even down the the "quick takes". I really don't regret anything that I had submitted. Granted, I haven't heard back yet, but even if I didn't get in, I would have no regrets.

at first.. i thought that writing about linkin park was going to get me rejected.. but it worked out..

I wish I didn't make my favorite quote the Mark Twain one about cats.

Oh and for role model I put Agent Smith (cuz he's a persistent lil rascal).

And I think USC love Linkin Park. The band covered them.

My quick takes were ridiculous. I wrote about me being attractive for at least two of them, and my dream job was Superman. I don't think I had one serious answer besides my role model. But I wouldn't change that. I wouldn't change a thing, really.

I would have mentioned I would be honored to take spring admission.
