nuclear and mechanical engineering

Penn state offers a program where u can get a bachelors in mechanical engineering and nuclear engineering in 4.5 years. Do u think im better off just gettin a bachelors in mechanical engineering and then a masters in nuclear engineering?

Do you plan on doing your masters right away? Once you get your masters in nuclear engineering nobody is really going to care what your undergrad was in.

If you aren’t doing your masters for a few years you might want to consider the double major then. If you are doing your master immediately than just skip it.

Most Nuclear engineering grad schools will take MechE UG majors. If you are 100% you want to go Nuclear, drop the MechE and get a Nuclear UG. If not, just stick with MechE and go Nuclear for masters.
