Nueroscience

I'm posting this for my friend and she wants to be a nuero surgon. Here are her stats as I know them:

GPA: 4.0
Class Rank: Top 10
Courses: All accelerated
EC's: National Honor Society, Relay For Life, Youth Court, Key Club, Speech and Debate

So what she wants to know are what are some schools that have good Nueroscience programs.

College Search and Selection would probably be the more helpful forum for you. Be warned that they will (1) need an SAT score, (2) ask you to spell "neuro" correctly.

In any case there's no need for her to major in neuroscience if she wants to do neurosurgery. Undergrad major has no bearing on eventual specialty choices.

bluedevilmike, thanks 4 ur post. im not very good at spelling, and not quite sure how to go about this since i have no intrest in medicine myself.

The best advice you could give her is not to try to pick a specialty yet. While leaning towards a certain field isn't a problem in itself, it becomes one if the eventual goal becomes to focused on becoming a neurosurgeon. Every physician must first do four years undergrad, followed by four years of medical school, after which they begin to specialize. Much of medical school is designed to help students find what specialty they'll fit in.
