number of AP classes

How many ap classes should a student take to make their schedule look rigorous?

So far I've taken
AP World - C(9th grade)
AP Bio - B+(10th)
AP US Hist - A(maybe B+)(11th)
AP English Lang - A(11th)
AP Spanish 5 - A (11th)
AP Gov - ?(12th)
AP English literature - 12th
And possibly AP European/Host

Do you think that is rigorous enough?

It depends on what the student wants to major in, where the student wants to go to college, and the grades the student receives on the exams. Cs are pretty worthless. But keep in mind that there’s no need to take a lot of AP courses senior year. Since you have 7 As or Bs projected already, 2 or 3 more should be plenty for 90% of schools. You want to keep your GPA up senior year rather than demonstrate rigor; straight As first semester would be great. The other 10% will want AP courses that are tougher than these: Chem, Calc, Physics, etc. That you shied away from the tough APs might mean only that you should shy away from the very selective colleges. That leaves you with over 3000 to choose from.
