Number of AP Classes.....

For a junior schedule what looks better????

4 AP's, 2 Honors........Grades: 3 A's and 3 B's

OR

2 AP's, 1 Honors, and 3 Regular Classes........Grades: 6 A's

And this is for UC Schools

go with the harder schedule, you might manage A's anyways and at least it shows you tried your best

depends which AP's

Also, even though this might not exactly weigh on getting accepted, you might want to consider if you will pass the APs or not. It can really help a lot if you come into school with credits so you can avoid taking a lot of core classes.

The First One Would Be (AP Psych, AP Eng, AP Calc, APUSH, Honors Chem, and Honors Spanish 3)

The Second One Would Be (AP Psych, AP Calc, and Honors Spanish 3)

If you can manage As in calc and psych, you can manage As in the other two. At least, AP english and APUSH were easier than AP calc in my high school (and I'm a math person).

I personally think the As would actually look better though. It would significantly bring up your GPA and possibly rank (depends on how the grades are weighted though... ).

However, you should be able to manage As in all of them if you can manage them in psych/calc IMO, but eh, just my opinion.

I'm a Junior this year, I've taken 5 APs + 3 Honors,
AP Class Grades: A+, A-, A-, A, A+
Honors Grades: A+, A+, B+
It's hard to predict grades, you may be surprised. I say go for the harder schedule. (Even though right about now next year, you'll be going a lil crazy... just a warning.)

just for an idea of schedule difficultly level
btw, APs^: Psych, Calc BC, US Hist, Eng Lang, and Music

The only reason I'm considering taking the easier schedule bc the UC's put a stupid 8 semester cap which is equal to 4 classes......Who only takes 4 Ap and honors classes throughout high school???

^^^ That is seriously messed up!

Yea, I'd definetly consider not taking the APs if they won't even count towards anything for school (if you do well on the exam). That's kind of ridiculous...

well if you take them and decide to go to another school it may help. Like some better school accepting you or something ...
