Number of Items in MIT Maker Portfolio

I'm currently preparing my Maker Portfolio for my MIT application and am a little confused as to how many items to include...

I recall reading an article from MIT about this a while back where they mentioned that it would be just a single project I had worked on but the portfolio seems to indicate that more than one project can be submitted through their wording and the fact that they allow up to 25 media items to be included.

I have one main project that I could include but I definitely have other projects if they allow for more.

If anyone has any information on this, that would be very helpful!

I called them and they said it should only be one project (I’m sure you can mention more in your essays though).

Probably worth a call to double check if you are really concerned about it. MIT admissions folks are pretty nice :)

Thanks so much for your answer! I can tell that you basically had the exact same confusion as myself. I figured I’d only call them as a last resort though but maybe I’ll call them up next time I need something

It can be multiple. Last year it was one only.

Exactly why it would be worth another call
Let us know, OP

Alright so I called the offices and asked them the same question. The lady who answered said that it’s sort of up to me how I want to present my portfolio. I can either include one major project with it or include multiple ones so long as I’m able to fit it in the requirements of what they ask for, including the single PDF of technical specifications.

Hope this helps anyone with the same question! :)

Aww… Now I’m gonna be wondering if that could’ve changed my decision!
Jk, jk, I’ll try not to let it get to me :o
