I'm asking my teachers for recommendations to schools now but I feel I may send in too many. I'm thinking of asking
1. My FBLA Director
2. My Cross Country/ Track Couch
3. My Junior English Teacher
*She REALLY loves me so I should get something nice.
4. My Senior English Teacher and College Professor
5. My Independent Study teacher
6. My Town Board of Education which I serve on.
In addition to these I would send in some alumni letters from people that I know who have graduated from these colleges.
Is this too many?

Yes this is too many - they won’t all get read - stick to two teachers- the Junior English teacher and something you don’t have on your list - another teacher from a different subject area. Don’t bother with the Alum letters either unless the alum is a huge financial contributor who would hold sway with admissions.

Absolutely that is too many. I’ve heard admissions officers say more than once that they don’t want too many recommendations. I’d go with two teachers (maybe from two academic subjects instead of two English teachers) and one person who can speak to your extracurricular activities in addition to the required one from your guidance counselor.
