Number on Wait List?

Does anyone know how many students were put on the Wait List this year?? I’m international and I was wait listed :frowning: Just want to know where I stand.

428 accepted their position on the waitlist.

[Regular decision yields 15.6% acceptance rate - The Bowdoin Orient](http://orient.bowdoin.edu/orient/article.php?date=2011-04-01&section=1&id=2)

not sure how many they’ve started contacting yet, but I received a phone call last night and was offered a spot off the waitlist

hey redhawk u sure? I though the waitlist gonna start 3-4 days after May 1st

what r u majoring in? will you take the spot?

redhawk, did they tell you how long you have to make your decision? and they called you at night? weird… you’d think they would call during open office hours

they called me sunday evening and gave me 24 hours to decide…I’ll probably major in economics. and yeah, I submitted my deposit yesterday afternoon! go polar bears!

are u a US citizen redhawk? And did u apply for fin.aid?

yes, I live in the US. and no, I didn’t apply for aid

i got a call today and was accepted through the waitlist. they gave me only 24 hours to decide… im not sure where i submit anything though lol. not much was told to me

That’s weird, I got an e-mail from my admissions counselor saying that they were just beginning to look through the waitlist and determining if they even need to go there.
And 24 hours!? That’s crazy.

Yea I spoke to my college counselor and she told me that they must still be receiving mail from those they have accepted. Dimoret do you live in the state and are you planning to accept?

I’m on the waitlist… not contacted yet :S

this is agonizing -_-
does anyone know how many accepted students said yes to bowdoin this year?

Question…I looked back on the common app supplement for Bowdoin, and they never asked for a phone number…how will they contact us?

On the common app’s main portion you fill out your home phone and cell phone.
Speaking of that, to those of you who were called, which number did they use…?

i turned down my waiting list spot, terrible FA haha! :] good luck to all those who deserve it more than i do!

@chilepride im from california. im not sure if location matters so much though, because they contact by phone. the 3 hour time difference was such a pain though.

You should have but your phone number on the Applicant part of the Common App, where they ask us for social security number, address and e-mail.

Dimoret, I’m from CA too and I was just wondering what time of the day they called you?

they called me at around 1pm pacific time
