Number Wrong

Any ideas...

I'm trying to get 750 on each section of the SAT.

What would be the max number of questions I could miss for Math, Verbal, and Writing respectively?

Thanks

okay so check this out. for math--i got 0 wrong but omited 1. i remember that 1 that i omitted--i coudlnt figure it out at all. and because of that one i went down 20 freaking points. so i ended up with a 780. what a bummer.

I omitted 1 MC question and got 3 wrong in the write-in (which does not count against you). I answered all of the rest of the MC questions correctly. My score: 720

Math II Subject Test, on the other hand... I answered 43 of 50, left 7 blank. Got an 800.

math section I missed 3 and I got a 740. so...I guess you would either have to miss 2 and skip1 or just miss like 2 or less to get above a 750.

I got a 750 on the writing section by missing 4 along with an 11 essay.

I dunno why I lost 60 points on the Math section while my raw score was 52. (2 wrong)....

loser,
u take the SAT in june?

Well, that is technically 3 wrong, since there is the 1/4 of a point penalty for every wrong answer. 2 wrong would be either 1 miss + 1 blank or 2 blanks.

I missed two and got a 760.

Topboy, you're wrong. If you subtract 0.5 then you still round up.

Yup, I took the SAT in June. As I said, I got 2 wrong, and even if they were not the grid-ins, i just got 0.5 substracted. Round it up, my raw score was 52.
Wait, do you think the curves differ from different versions? I mean, my 2 friends both took the SAT in June. For the Math section, both got 1 wrong but for the one in U.S., he received a 790 while the other, who took the SAT in Asia, got 780...
