Nursing and Health Sciences

Hey I was just wondering if anyone applied early to the Nursing and Health Sciences School (especially if you have gotten your results) because I cannot seem to find anyone that applied. Tons of people applied to SFS but almost none to NHS.

I applied EA. Got deferred. I wasn’t really surprised though.
I totally agree with you, though. I haven’t seen a lot or SNHS applicants on here. I do know of two, however, that got acceptance letters today. Kinda stunk, since I don’t care for either of them. haha

Cross my fingers for April!

What were the stats of those who got accepted? Is the nursing school harder to get into than the other schools?

On Georgetown’s website, they list the percentage of applicants that get into each school. NHS has about 19 or 20% I believe and it’s a little higher than the college. But there are so few people who apply to NHS, like last year only 370 or something like that!

I applied for healthcare management and got in

Hi, I applied NHS and got accepted EA (Human Science)

I’ll post my stats on the results thread eventually, but quick summary:

2270 superscored SAT
34 ACT (one sitting)

1 class rank (although I’m not sure if my school reported this officially or not)

lots of leadership, including: starting a branch of Habitat for Humanity with a friend and co-president for 3 years, Girl Scout Gold Award, NHS President, and a solid amount of consistent community service (weekly since 8th grade)
I’m a white female from NY.

My daughter got in, with an intended major of International Health.
Her scores were roughly:
ACT 32
SAT 740 CR 680M 720W

Unusual story, she transferred to girls boarding school w/international focus as junior. Participated in exchanges and mission trips to Hungary, S. Africa and China. She spent a night on the floor of a Chinese hospital. She had great essays on the reality of living with diversity and the disparity of health care in other countries.

She has a brother in the medical school and they made a note of that in the acceptance letter.

Ok thanks everyone. I feel better knowing there’s people on here getting in
