How is nursing at Case, specifically pursuing a B.S in Nursing? Is it worth the money (are you guaranteed a job after graduation) or are the academics, experience and job outlook similar to those of nursing programs at state schools?

And how is the student life there?

I was recently admitted to its Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing and am contemplating on whether to go..

Thank you for your input!

case is ranked exceptionally well for nursing. they are ranked #14 in the country and #4 out of all private school nursing programs. their big advantage is students start their clinicals the 3rd week of their first semester of freshmen year. this means you graduate with 2-3x clinical hours compared to programs who start clinicals senior year. my son was just accepted into case’s nursing program. i’m wondering the same thing about student life.

THe FPB School of Nursing is one of the oldest in the country! It’s also the only school in the country in which you start your clinicals in your first semester, so you have double the experience when you graduate! It’s absolutely incredible, though! I was just accepted to FBP, and am really excited to visit for the first time! Let me know if you want to talk more, though-- I definitely want to meet other students who might/are going~

My daughter did not apply for case, but the only reason is it is far for her to go. Case is a good school, it has university hospital.

bump…any Case students here? :)

Wondering what to expect of the Case Nursing program. I know that it is an excellent nursing program with a great reputation. I am wondering will there be any down time to play sports or join Greek Life?

I definitely think there will be… they balance your clinicals with your courses, so that you have schedules like every other major! There should definitely be time to do activities, if you manage your work well! I definitely want to rush next year, and work with theater and music… its all how you budget your time!
