are there any of you nursing majors out there who are double majoring, or do you find that the courseload is already too much? im going to be a freshman nursing major this fall, but if i change my mind, i'd be interested in business. im thinking of double majoring in nursing and some kind of business (management/administration, marketing or international) and/or minoring in journalism/communications because im really interested in those subjects. would that be too large of an undertaking? i want to become either a NP or a nurse manager (some grad nursing schools have joint MSN/MBA degrees), but i also want to write for a local newspaper on the side at one point in my life. i know it's wayy too early to predict my future, but i want to make the best out of my college education and i'd be so interested in studying all of those subjects (nursing, business and journalism)! is that too ambitious? lol

Not an actual nursing major but a medical student with many friends who are nursing students. The biggest problem you'll have with that is during your clinical years for your nursing major. It's a time that is nearly 100% adverse to doing anything else. You just simply won't have the time or energy to be doing other classes since technically you're working as a full time nurse.
